MILFORD, Indiana U.S.A. – Chore-Time has introduced the next generation of its popular CHORE-TRONICS® Controls. Called CHORE-TRONICS® 2, the innovative whole house controllers feature the proven performance of the company’s classic CHORE-TRONICS line along with enhanced features, more built-in functionality and easier expandability. 

The CHORE-TRONICS 2 Controllers are designed for use in managing power ventilation, tunnel ventilation and natural ventilation houses. Frequently, producers can use the same control to switch between all three environmental modes to help enhance the house’s environment while also maximizing energy savings. 

The CHORE-TRONICS line of controls can also help provide critical house management information to help growers reach optimum animal performance. Some of the information the system can report includes the monitoring of feed and water systems plus the recording of current house environmental conditions. 

The enhanced features on CHORE-TRONICS 2 include convenience items such as a large 1/4 VGA (320 x 240) LCD screen for less scrolling of information, easy-to-read text, external screen contrast control, simplified navigation and data entry as well as quick screen access and set-up. An external port is also provided for CHORE-TRONICS Controls’ set-up key. The set-up key is used to quickly and easily transfer settings from one CHORE-TRONICS Control to another. 

Other enhancements were made in the area of the management tools offered by the controls. With CHORE-TRONICS 2, these new management tools include a wider range of history subjects, more user-defined programs, and a larger range of information regarding current house conditions. This improved range of data is designed to help growers to quickly measure the impact of operational changes in order for them to see which changes will best help them to optimize their results. 

The new line of Chore-Time CHORE-TRONICS 2 controls comes more complete “out of the box” with a number of popular options already included: static pressure sensor, communication (FNM) board plus dedicated light dimmer and back-up box outputs as well as eight spare clocks for output assignment. These make it easier as well as more economical for growers to get the functionality they desire with CHORE-TRONICS 2 Controls. 

The new CHORE-TRONICS 2 Controls are highly expandable with the ability to easily add more inputs or outputs so that producers can select the combination that best meets their management needs. The new controls are factory-configured with 32, 40 or 56 outputs and are field-expandable up to 80 outputs. The basic models also include 20 inputs with the potential to add up to 28 more for a total of 48 inputs. 

Chore-Time also offers C-CENTRAL™ Software, Chore-Time's user-friendly software that runs on WINDOWS®-based desktop or laptop personal computers. C-CENTRAL can be used with CHORE-TRONICS 2 Controls to add the ability to arrange and view data as well as for remote control of one or more houses. CHORE-TRONICS® 2 Controls and C-CENTRAL Software are both part of Chore Time's complete line of integrated poultry and livestock products including feeders, drinkers, feed conveying, feed storage, ventilation, heating, cooling and controls.
