Chore-Time's Genesis® Feeder Multiplies Feeding Space for Broiler Breeders
MILFORD, Indiana, U.S.A. — Chore-Time's new GENESIS® Feeder's unique double pan feeds 50 percent more birds per linear foot of feeder line than a chain feeder. With the GENESIS Feeder, broiler breeder producers can feed 72 breeder hens per 12 feet (3.66 m) of feeder line compared to 48 birds at 12 feet (3.66 m) of chain trough. For pullets, producers can feed up to 88 birds per feeder tube with four GENESIS Pans. Simultaneous Feed at Every Pan and Every Feeding Space Available in various pan-per-tube configurations, each GENESIS Double Pan Feeder offers 18 grill openings – more than any other pan feeder. Fast, 165-feet-per-minute (50-meters-per-minute) auger speed keeps the GENESIS Feeder loop filled with feed for immediate delivery of feed to every pan in the house every time the feeding system runs. Dual feed inlets in every feeder promote even feed distribution as well as accommodating a variety of feed types. Uniform Quality Feed Ration With Chore-Time's GENESIS Feeder, all birds are presented with an identical, unpicked-over ration at feeding time. Though it supports skip-a-day feeding, the GENESIS Feeder can handle a small enough volume of feed for daily feeding if desired. GENESIS Feeders are able to uniformly deliver the quantity of feed specified by the integrator to every pan in feeding system loops up to 600 feet (183 m) long. Feed Savings The GENESIS Feeder is designed to save feed. Birds tend to keep their heads over the GENESIS Feeder while eating, so any dropped feed falls into the pan's built-in catch area for birds to consume. Test houses show feed savings of up to seven tons (6.6 metric tons) for pullets and eight tons (7.4 metric tons) for breeder hens per 10,000 bird flock. Comfortable Eating Chore-Time's GENESIS Feeders provide comfortable perimeter eating for birds. Each double pan features Chore-Time's patented scalloped grill which curves to fit the bird's breast and offers lower areas for easy feed access for pullets. The upper grill includes openings that deliver more light and air to birds while they eat. Flood windows are available in the pullet feeder and also in an all-in, all-out breeder model. The feeder's unique 45-degree angle on the feeder tube provides more space between pans for easier access to drinkers and nests. Separate Male Feeding GENESIS Breeder Feeders include an adjustable grill to keep roosters from eating the females' feed ration. Breeder producers can rotate the grill-top selector dial to fine-tune the width of the grill openings from 41 to 50 millimeters in one-millimeter increments. A height limiter ring is used to set the height of each grill opening between 55 and 75 millimeters. Additional Features Feeder pans swing down for cleaning between flocks on a pair of hinges with incorporated hinge locks. GENESIS Feeders come standard with a two-piece cone top for easy pan replacement without disassembling the feeder loop. GENESIS® Pullet and Breeder Feeders are part of Chore-Time's complete line of integrated poultry products including feeders, drinkers, feed conveying, feed storage, ventilation, heating, cooling, nests and controls.
